Procurement Officer
Description
The job holder will be responsible for developing effective sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitionof goodsand services, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring compliancewithcompany policies and regulatory requirements while supporting overall businessobjectives. Duties & Responsibilities Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies for various departments. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value productsinclude cartons,Homopolymer, woven bags, PE bags, PE Breathable film. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships Ensure timely delivery of goods and services Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and ethical standards Coordinate with finance, stores, and user departments. Expected Skills, Competencies & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, with at least 1 yearsinamanagerial procurement role preferably in a manufacturing setup. Membership with CIPS or KISM will be an added advantage Strong negotiation and communication skills Good analytical and organizational abilities Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) High level of integrity and professionalism Be proficient in Ms Excel and have Hands-on experience withaccountingsoftware (e.g. Quick-books).
