Chief Financial Officer

About the job We are looking to hire a CFO to lead the company from a financial perspective. You will report into the CEO and work alongside other C-Suite team members and take ownership of all company fiscal and regulatory matters. To do well in this role you should have experience as a CFO in a company with complex financials, fundraising and an extensive balance sheet. To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also have outstanding analytical and time management abilities. Responsibilities Assisting with high-level decisions about policy and strategy. Helping with recruiting new staff members when necessary. Oversee the company’s fiscal activity including, budgeting, reporting, auditing and administration. Support the fundraising efforts led by the CEO and execute the fundraising strategy. Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company. Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs. Work well with CEO and CTO to develop strategic plan, optimise processes and assure economic stability. Qualifications Chartered Accountant, master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or MBA. 10 years + experience at senior management level. Strong financial and accounting background, deg financial controls and commercial strategies. Strong experience in supply chain management. Experience with corporate governance. Proven negotiation skills. Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions. Ability to inspire confidence and create trust. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
