About The Job Role: The Atlassian Data Migration Specialist is an Atlassian Developer. This role will be focused on performing Server and Data Center migrations to the Atlassian Cloud. Responsibilities: Delivery Responsible for the technical delivery of migration projects Assist the Sr. Atlassian Migration Specialist with writing technical & functional specifications Responsible for installation and configuration of Jira and Confluence server from scratch on a Linux platform. Responsible for the creation of a cloud environment in a production environment Responsible for Server to Server migration Responsible for Server to Cloud Migration Responsible for Data Center to Cloud Migration Responsible for Cloud to Cloud Migration Perform audits & health-checks Provide advice and make recommendations Deploy, configure and integrate applications according to customer needs and requirements Qualifications: Hard Skills (What You Must Have) Soft Skills Nice to have but not required: 2-3 years of experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket on-prem and Cloud Products The Atlassian Data Migration Specialist has expert knowledge of the migration of data across various platforms. Must-Have: Strong written and verbal communication skills Capable of working with North American based teams Strong knowledge of Python v2 or v3 Strong knowledge of Apache Groovy v4 Senior level technical writing experience Must be familiar with the following platforms: Linux, RedHat, Ubuntu, and MS Server IDEs PyCharm, (IntelliJ IDEA, etc...) MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL databases. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform Must be fluent in the following programming languages Python v2 or v3 Apache Groovy v4 Javascript ES9 Must be able to demonstrate they have the ability to: Transfer, get, or push data via the Atlassian REST API Modify, alter, or update data via the database (MySQL, Postgres, etc) Perform a Server to Server migration Perform a Server to Data Center migration Perform a Server to Cloud migration Perform a Data Center to Cloud migration Perform a Cloud to Data Center migration (nice to have) Write a script using Python Write a script using Groovy Must be familiar with the following methodologies, frameworks, or technologies: Software Development Lifecycle Active Directory and LDAP SSO, SSL, and Java keystore Microsoft IIS, Apache web server REST API tools such as Postman, PAW, etc. The Atlassian Migration Specialist will be able to effectively: Communicate with team members Find new ways to resolve unique problems Develop other migration specialists Navigate complex relationships and situations Specialization: Data Migration Cloud Data Center Familiar with the following applications and add-ons for both on-premise and cloud: Jira Core Jira Software Jira Service Desk Confluence Bitbucket Access: Install Jira and Confluence server and Data Center from scratch on both Windows and Linux platforms Strong knowledge of the Atlassian application database schema Strong kn
