ASTAR Infectious Diseases Labs (ASTAR IDL) is seeking a Scientist to join us in advancing research at the cutting edge of infectious diseases. ASTAR IDL aims to be the global leader in tropical infectious diseases through scientific excellence in research and innovation to enhance human health and respond to future pandemics. Dr. XXXX XXXX's laboratory at the ASTAR IDL is seeking self-motivated postdoctoral fellows with a background in virology, immunology, maternal-fetal immunity, or closely related fields to be part of a dynamic team working to understand the immune repercussions during prenatal viral infections. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a PhD with experience in molecular/cell biology/immunology, handling clinical specimens and in experimental animals. Candidates with demonstrated experience in virology and immunology will be preferred. PhD degree in Biology, Life Sciences or equivalent. Relevant working experience is advantageous. Experience in handling BSL-2 and/or BSL-3 viral pathogens, cell culture, animal handling, flow cytometry, cellular and molecular techniques. Experienced with mouse in-vivo models. Experienced with processing clinical specimens. Experienced with multiomics analyses. (eg. RNA, single-cell RNAseq, high-throughput proteomics and metabolomics) Experienced with flow cytometry and spectral flow cytometry preferred. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Highly motivated, passionate about science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours, as required by experimental planning. The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
