By reimagining cars as mobile living spaces, XG Tech aligns with the evolving trend of vehicles becoming the “third living space.” Role Summary As a Senior UI/Visual Designer, you will define and drive the visual direction for AI-powered and intelligent cockpit HMIs, shaping next-generation user experiences. You will explore creative visual styles, develop multi-cultural design systems, and translate experimental concepts into practical, high-quality design assets for global markets. Key Responsibilities AI-Era HMI Visual Exploration: Research and define overall HMI visual direction, explore next-generation visual styles enabled by AI, and collaborate with China-based design teams to develop reusable visual assets Overseas Localization & Design System Development: Define visual design principles and guidelines for localization, develop multi-language and multi-cultural adaptation strategies, and optimize UI, motion, and 3D visuals for overseas users End-to-End HMI Visual Design: Contribute across UI, motion, and 3D visual domains from concept to implementation, balancing creative exploration with engineering and production feasibility; support iterative refinement through test vehicles and real-world validation Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Execution: Work with product, engineering, testing, and overseas stakeholders to drive projects forward, proactively identifying risks and dependencies Design Communication & Knowledge Building: Articulate design concepts and rationale through reviews and presentations, document design practices into guidelines and frameworks, and share best practices across teams and regions How You Will Stand Out Bachelor’s degree or above in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field 5+ years of experience in UI, visual, or HMI design, preferably for intelligent cockpits or advanced tech products Strong visual judgment, exploratory mindset, and ability to drive design under uncertainty Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, with basic 3D design skills (C4D, Blender) a plus Familiar with HMI design workflows, user-centered principles, and product-oriented thinking Strong collaboration, communication, and cross-cultural teamwork skills, including fluency in Chinese Experience in multi-language UI, international localization, or AI-driven/experimental design projects is highly desirable XG Tech is committed to providing equal employment opportunities by country, state, and local laws.
