• 3 May 2027 🔄 Extension Option: Up to 1 year (till 3 May 2028) 🎯 Role Overview We are seeking a competent Science Laboratory Assistant to support science programmes, lab operations, and administrative functions in a primary school environment. The role focuses on enabling hands-on learning and ensuring smooth lab operations. ⏰ Working Hours 🗓️ Monday to Friday 🕖 7:00 AM
• 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) 🚫 No work on weekends & public holidays 🧩 Key Responsibilities 🔬 Laboratory & Learning Support Support inquiry-based science learning Assist teachers in preparing materials, apparatus, and experiments Ensure smooth operation of two science laboratories 🧰 Lab Management Maintain lab equipment, tools, and learning spaces Manage science corners, school garden, and lab environment Ensure proper care and storage of apparatus 📦 Inventory & Procurement Source and purchase lab materials and equipment Maintain inventory records and track consumables ⚠️ Safety & Compliance Ensure lab safety standards are followed May be required to act as a certified first aider 🎓 Classroom & Event Support Assist in practical lessons, workshops, and activities Supervise safe use of lab tools by students 🗂️ Administrative Duties Provide general administrative support as assigned by school 🎓 Requirements & Qualifications 🎓 NITEC / Diploma / GCE ‘O’ Level 🧪 Minimum 2 years experience as a lab technician (preferably in primary school) 💬 Good communication & interpersonal skills 💻 Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 🐜 Comfortable handling live specimens (e.g. insects) and chemicals
