Technical Director

Job Summary Basil Technologies Pte Ltd are seeking an experienced Technical Director with over 10 years of experience in Information Technology to lead and oversee the organization's technical strategy, architecture, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in delivering scalable technology solutions aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and strategy for the organization. Lead and mentor engineering, development, and technical teams to ensure high performance and innovation. Over see the design, development, and deployment of scalable IT systems and applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals. Ensure best practices in software development, system architecture, security, and performance optimization. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability. Manage project delivery timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for technology initiatives. Ensure compliance with IT governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives within the organization. Provide technical leadership during critical decision-making and system design discussions Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in software development, IT architecture, or technical leadership roles. Proven experience in leading engineering teams and large-scale technology projects. Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud platforms, and modern development frameworks. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Expertise in system design, microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems. Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience in enterprise architecture and digital transformation initiatives. Familiarity with AI, data engineering, or advanced analytics platforms. Experience working with cross-functional global teams. Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.
