AS400 Developer

We are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Developer with strong expertise in RPG programming, CL, and DB2/400 to support and enhance mission-critical enterprise applications, primarily in banking/financial services domains. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM i (AS400 / iSeries) platform Write and optimize programs using RPGLE / RPG IV Work with CL (Control Language) for job control and automation Design and manage DB2/400 databases , including queries and performance tuning Analyze business requirements and translate into technical solutions Perform debugging, testing, and production support Handle batch jobs, job scheduling, and system monitoring Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, BA, production support) Participate in legacy system modernization initiatives (API / web services integration) Required Skills Must-Have: Strong experience in RPGLE / RPG IV Hands-on with CL / CLLE programming Good knowledge of DB2/400 Experience with DDS, subfiles, and screen handling Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Good-to-Have: SQL on IBM i Exposure to REST APIs / Web Services Experience in banking or financial services domain Knowledge of Agile / SDLC processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field 3–10+ years of relevant AS400 development experience
