Bookkeeper
Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong Xero experience and a solid understanding of multi-currency accounting for SMEs . This role supports a fast-growing, multi-country organisation operating across Southeast Asia, and requires someone who can handle day-to-day financial operations with accuracy, responsibility, and confidentiality. You will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, supporting monthly reporting, and keeping all accounts up to date as we scale our programs, events, partnerships, and operations across multiple currencies (SGD, USD, etc.). Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero . Manage multi-currency transactions , including bank reconciliations, payment allocations, accounts payable and receivable. Track income and expenses for various programs, events, and departments. Prepare monthly financial statements, cashflow summaries, and management reports. Process payroll, staff claims, contractor invoices, and reimbursements. Ensure all receipts, invoices, and supporting documents are correctly filed and recorded. Liaise with internal teams to clarify transactions and maintain accurate cost allocations. Coordinate with external accountants for quarterly and annual filings. Monitor outstanding payments and support debt collection where necessary. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal controls. Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience , preferably in an SME environment. Proficient in Xero , including multi-currency features, bank feeds, reconciliation, and reporting. Strong understanding of SME financial workflows , including cashflow management. Experience working with multiple currencies (e.g., SGD, USD, etc). Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data responsibly. Good communication skills; able to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and management. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently. Advantageous: experience in sports, youth programs, events, or multi-entity setups.
