Job Summary: Role: Cloud Database Administrator Start: ASAP Duration: 12 Months Location: Singapore We are looking for passionate Cloud Database Administrators to join a critical and long-term project. This role is part of an upskilling program designed for database and cloud professionals who want to deepen their expertise in cloud database administration and transition into SAP HANA environments. Candidates with experience in cloud platforms and modern database technologies (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP, Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB) will gain structured training, hands-on project exposure, and opportunities to pursue SAP related certifications. This role is open to professionals across all levels who are eager to grow in cloud and database technologies. Requirements:

• Background in Database Administration, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with one or more databases: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IBM DB2, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managed database services.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and infrastructure concepts is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices or automation tools is a plus.
• Open to candidates with SAP-related exposure (SAP Basis, BW, ABAP, Data Modeling).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational support environment.
• Strong interest in learning and transitioning to SAP HANA database administration. Strong knowledge of:
• Database administration fundamentals (backup/recovery, performance tuning, security)
• High availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Monitoring and troubleshooting database systems Roles and Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and manage databases in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Manage and maintain cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
• Ensure high availability and reliability through clustering, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Manage database security, including access control, encryption, and compliance.
• Monitor database systems proactively and troubleshoot performance or availability issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams for deployment and operations support.
• Support 24/7 operations and incident management in production environments.
