Job Summary An IT Infrastructure Manager designs, manages, and maintains an organization’s core technology systems—including servers, networks, and cloud platforms—to ensure reliability, security, and scalability. They lead technical teams to optimize performance, plan disaster recovery, and implement system upgrades or migrations. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable and secure technology systems including servers, networks, and cloud platforms to support business operations Manage and maintain hardware, software, and data infrastructure to ensure system reliability and availability Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune infrastructure components to optimize system performance Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss during incidents Lead and coordinate technical teams to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices in all infrastructure management activities Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT infrastructure strategies with organizational goals Required competencies and certifications Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5–10 years of experience in roles such as systems administrator, network engineer, or cloud engineer Strong technical skills in networking (TCP/IP, firewalls), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization (VMware), and operating systems (Linux/Windows Server) Preferred competencies and qualifications Professional certifications such as AWS/Azure certifications, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), VMware, or ITIL
