Senior Accountant

Join an international company operating in the premium retail and fashion sector, known for its global presence and modern organizational culture. We are looking for a Senior Accountant with experience in managing accounting for foreign subsidiaries and the ability to coordinate with international finance partners. This role is based in Milan, with the flexibility of working two days remotely.

Key responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping for subsidiaries across several European countries (France, UK, Spain, Portugal, etc.). Manage monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliations, GL and AP postings, payroll bookings, and intercompany reconciliations. Prepare individual and consolidated financial statements in line with local GAAP requirements. Cooperate with external accounting and tax consultants in assigned countries, ensuring compliance and process consistency. Oversee tax-related issues with support from external experts. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and ensure efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate closely with internal departments, the Group Finance team, and external auditors. Support the Head of Accounting with ad hoc tasks and reporting requests.

Ideal candidate profile 4–5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant in a multinational environment (experience in retail or consumer goods is an advantage). Strong understanding of accounting standards for multiple European countries, particularly France and the UK. Excellent knowledge of Office tools, especially Excel. Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus. Experience coordinating with foreign accounting providers. Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork abilities.

Conditions Work location: Milan (hybrid mode - up to 2 remote days per week). Employment type: full-time, long-term position. You will report directly to the Head of Accounting and cooperate closely with the Group CFO and international finance teams.
