Test Manager - Stockholm

As a Test Manager, you will coordinate end-to-end testing activities to ensure high-quality delivery. This includes E2E integration, external testing, and non-functional testing, using appropriate methodologies and tools. You will oversee risk, issue, and defect management while supporting feature teams with test planning, test data preparation, and promoting the overall test strategy, including test automation.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end, integration, external, and non-functional testing activities
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and status reports in Xray
• Support development teams in establishing effective ways of working across different testing phases
• Assist feature teams with test planning and test data preparation
• Promote and support the implementation of the overall test strategy, including test automation
• Collaborate with other Test Managers and the Test Management team to drive testing excellence
• Ensure adherence to established processes, while identifying opportunities for improvements and new testing solutions

About the Candidate

• Experience in banking sector testing is mandatory, with a strong understanding of regulatory and operational requirements
• Payment domain knowledge is a plus
• Proven project management and large-scale test coordination skills to deliver complex programmes successfully
• Structured and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership
• Expected years of experience: 4 - 8 years
• Language skills: English, Swedish is a plus

Requirements

• Banking Sector Testing Experience: Proven experience in testing within the banking or financial services sector.
• Large-Scale Test Coordination: Experience coordinating end-to-end, integration, and cross-team testing activities.
• Test Management and Governance: Strong experience in test planning, test strategy execution, defect management, and risk/issue management.
• Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with development teams, Test Managers, and programme stakeholders.
• Structured and Independent Working Style: Ability to organize testing activities, documentation, and reporting while working independently.

Meritorious

• Payments Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with payments systems or payment transformation programmes.
• Test Automation Exposure: Experience supporting or promoting automation within the test strategy.
• Test Management Tooling (e.g., Xray / Jira): Experience using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience in Large Transformation Programmes: Exposure to complex, multi-team delivery environments or transformation initiatives.
