Product Owner
Description
Product Owner
North Manchester | Hybrid (onsite initially)
We're supporting a long-established organisation that is going through a significant period of product and technology modernisation.
The business is now building out the product function and looking to bring in a Product Owner to help drive delivery across a core area of the platform.
This role will focus on execution and delivery, helping structure and prioritise a large number of incoming change requests while working closely with engineering and stakeholders across the business.
It's a great opportunity to join a business where product is becoming central to how decisions are made, and where you'll have genuine ownership of how work is prioritised and delivered.
The Role
You'll be working closely with engineering, UX and senior stakeholders to manage product delivery and ensure work is prioritised effectively.
Responsibilities will include:
- Owning and managing the product backlog for a core product area
- Prioritising change requests and new features based on business value and customer impact
- Working closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery through Agile/Scrum practices
- Leading product discovery conversations with stakeholders across the organisation
- Helping bring structure to a large number of existing change requests and product initiatives
- Collaborating with UX and engineering to shape solutions before development begins
- Communicating product decisions clearly to stakeholders across the business
What We're Looking For
We're looking for Product Owners who are proactive, outcome-driven and comfortable operating in fast-paced product environments.
In particular, we're interested in product professionals who:
- Have strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, owning backlogs and driving delivery alongside engineering teams
- Are confident leading product discovery, engaging stakeholders and bringing the business on the journey with product decisions
- Demonstrate a strong ownership mentality - people who take responsibility for outcomes rather than simply managing feature requests
- Are comfortable prioritising competing requests across the business and making clear product decisions
- Are used to working at pace in product-led environments and remain focused on customer outcomes
AI & Modern Product Thinking
We're particularly interested in candidates who are already using AI tools as part of their product workflow.
This isn't about being an AI specialist - it's about having a modern, curious mindset and actively adopting tools that improve how product teams operate.
- Salary £50,000
- Hybrid working (onsite during probation)
