Senior Project Manager, XDR-Cyber security hybrid 11 months + 610pd
Description
**XDR Senior Project Manager for our Government client.
You will report into the CTO Programme Manager and be responsible for the effective delivery of multiple Cyber security capability enhancements including the implementation of Microsoft Defender Extended Detection Response (XDR) tooling (on-prem cloud).
Rate 610 pd Inside IR35**
Duration 11 months but could go on for 24 months- Start date subject to SC transfer around 6-8 weeks approx)
Active SC Cleared, this is required by our government services client based near Northampton, East Midlands commutable from Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Cambridge, Peterborough, North London
ROLE:
Managing the implementation of XDR capabilities phases from initiation to closure; including the deployment of XDR agents to End User Devices and to Servers in CNI order
Maintain and manage a detailed project and work plan.
Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues and critical paths
Direct and manage project development.
Manage a budget.
Ensure project deliverables are on time and within budget, communicating deltas via appropriate governance artefacts and boards.
Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
Manage the CTO Strategy delivery teams
Essential:
Proven experience delivering complex technical change programmes (infrastructure and cyber)
Strong planning ability for phased implementation plans, milestone tracking and agile methodologies
Demonstrable experience producing executive reporting (board packs, weekly highlights, checkpoint reports).
Practical understanding of Microsoft XDR/EDR concepts and SOC operating models.
Experience in coordinating test schedules, change windows and deployment execution planning.
APM PMQ, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management, or equivalent certification.
Experience working in a secure government organisation.
Extensive experience delivering digital or technical projects in secure or government environments.
Strong understanding of Government Functional Standards in project delivery; Secure by Design principles and agile delivery methodologies.
Familiarity with project tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent
Desirable:
Specific tooling experience with Microsoft Defender XDR products
Background in infrastructure prior to programme management
Experience of resource management, development and allocation processes during the last 5 years;
