Senior Project Manager (Cloud)
One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Cloud) to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £610 per day INSIDE IR35.
Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.
This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
The purpose of the Senior Project Manager is to be responsible for delivering secure digital, data, and technology (DDaT) projects across government sectors. Key focus includes developing business cases, planning and executing projects within time, cost, and quality constraints, leading governance and ensuring compliance to frameworks. The role demands strong stakeholder management, leadership in Matrix teams, risk and change management, and driving efficiency and innovation. Extensive experience in secure government environments, knowledge of Secure by Design principles, agile methodologies, and proficiency with tools like MS Project, alongside proven ability to manage large budgets and multi-disciplinary teams.
Expected projects will be Hyperscaler Cloud based, both working within the customers tenants and migrating to Cloud tenants.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Knowledge and experience working with public Cloud services such as AWS and Azure platforms.
- Experience working on migration projects between differing infrastructures.
- Ability to manage project finances.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, experience with working with customers senior management.
- Ability to lead virtual teams, communicate collaborate with others effectively.
- Working use of Microsoft Productivity Tools especially very experienced with MS Project.
- Experience working within Agile planning frameworks.
