Information Security and Cyber Consultant - Hybrid, Bucks - SC Cleared - £790 Inside IR35

One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Information Security and Cyber Consultant to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £790 per day INSIDE IR35.

Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

During this role, you will act as a SME to review current set up with a view to providing advice, guidance and a draft strategy for information security and cyber functions (including the SOC) within the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in working in a cyber and information security environment
• Experience of undertaking activities regarding creation of cyber and information security strategies, programmes and organisational structure reviews
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of the UK Government profession frameworks relating to Security and DDaT which apply to information security and cyber
• Comfortable working on a team
• Understanding of ISO 27001
• Public sector experience would be beneficial, but not essential
