Senior.Net, C# Developer-Backend Engineer- SC/DV Cleared-£610 a day

A Senior C#,.NET Developer, Lead Backend Engineer, SC or DV Cleared, is required by our government client based in Milton Keynes, Bucks, South East. Commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Luton, North London, Bedford, Peterborough.

Working in an SC, DV Security cleared environment. You will hold a current SC or DV (Developed Vetting clearance or be eligible to undertake.

£610 a day (umbrella)

Hybrid working- 3 days a week on site

Essential skills:

Strong experience with C# and.NET Core API development.

Solid SQL Server skills including stored procedures and optimisation.

Experience deg Back End architecture within secure or modern API driven environments.

Strong understanding of ORM patterns (EF Core).

Familiarity with GitHub workflows and code review processes.

Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.

Strong communicator able to collaborate across technical and non technical teams.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with clean architecture or domain driven design.

Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.

Understanding of API testing and integration testability.

React, typescript and Javascript.

You will take ownership of Back End architecture, set engineering standards, and help strengthen the organisation's software development capability. Working with modern.NET Core practices, SQL Server, and cloud#8209;ready architectures, you will play a vital part in delivering resilient, secure solutions that support government operations worldwide.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain secure Back End services and APIs using C# and.NET Core.

Shape Back End architecture, coding standards, and documentation for long#8209;term scalability.

Produce efficient SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high performance and reliability.

Partner with Front End teams to design clear and robust API contracts.

Lead code reviews and uphold secure engineering best practices.

Mentor junior engineers and help grow Back End capability across the team.

Collaborate with distributed/offshore teams to ensure aligned delivery.

Build and maintain data access layers using Entity Framework Core.
