Application Solution Architect

We are partnered with a financial client who are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support payments technology change across multiple financial domains.

This is a contract role based in Chester 3 days per week. 6month duration initially.

Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architecture and non-functional requirements.
• Shape high-level designs and guide delivery teams.
• Ensure solutions align with tech strategy and standards.
• Review designs, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Corporate Payments and major payment schemes (SEPA, FPS, CHAPS, SWIFT).
• Regulatory change experience (PSD2/3, ISO 20022, Open Banking).
• API design, microservices, integration platforms.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Java,.NET, Python, JS/TS.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• 10+ years in financial services technology.

Desired

• TOGAF, Cloud Architect, or AI certifications.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar.
