Job Title: SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER Reporting To: HEAD - PENSION FUND ADMINSITRATION.

Role Purpose (The Opportunity)

  • This role requires the individual to effectively and efficiently manage all operational activities including processes, systems and excellence in customer service while delivery quality outputs in accordance to service delivery standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the integration of Administration systems.
  • To create relationships with internal and external clients and promote a culture of high performance, innovation, ambition and continuous improvement within the department.
  • This role is a critical part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in the delivery of a superior pension administration service. Key Responsibilities Management of day-to-day operations in line with best practices and internal and external service level standards Monitor quality and quantity of outputs Review and authorise work as per authority matrix Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately Contributes to the ongoing identification and mitigation of new risks through the assessment of external influences and internal changes Ability to mitigate risk. Assesses how external influences and internal changes may impact the business area, systems, processes and activities Financial Responsibilities as directed by the Executive Operations and Administration. Financial Management to ensure Operational Success Support and maintain the development of best practice maps, process and procedure documents. Build and maintain exceptional internal and external client relationships Leadership and Management Operational Effecetiveness Requirements A Business-related degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years management experience Minimum of 7 years retirement funds industry experience with a focus on Employee Benefits Administration COP, ICIBS Alex / Compen experience an added advantage Strong knowledge of Pension funds and related legislation Strong knowledge of Employee Benefit Industry Strong Administration knowledge Strong Knowledge of Operations Strong Business Acumen Excellent oral and Written communication and presentation skills Strong knowledge of the financial services business and applicable legislation such as Pension Funds Act. Strong knowledge of Employee risk benefits and new business processing procedures Training Managers and Supervisors on key skills and ensuring these skills are transferred within teams. Strong risk management skills Good compliance monitoring skills Strong project management skills Advanced relationship building & networking skills at all levels Ability to multi-task XXXX XXXX where appropriate Ability to anticipate and manage change Ability to work under pressure Strategic Innovative thinking and delivery Analytical Thinking Excellence / quality orientation ~ capacity to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency are consistently maintained.
