NWDC is a Corporate Body mandated to Secure and Promote the Safety, Well-being, Security of the Community and Enhance Good Governance Practices in the District. The main purpose of the job is to coordinate, manage and direct the Treasury Division. Key Responsibilities Manage, direct and coordinate the Treasury Division to ensure prudent financial management and adherence to statutes. Provides professional advice and guidance on financial accounting and budgeting to key stakeholders. Provides vigilant supervision to spending departments to promote efficient and economic financial order. Develops and supervises implementation of internal controls to ensure sound management of financial resources in accordance with financial regulations and policies. Undertakes regular review of Council exposure to financial risks and strengthens internal controls. Prepares final books of accounts and presents them through administrative structures. Undertakes any other related duties directed by the management. Requirements Qualification: Degree in Accounting or related field. Requirements: Prospective candidates must be registered with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), in accordance with the Accountants Act no 12 of 2010, and should be a member in good standing (Attach Proof). Experience: At least ten (10) years relevant work experience of which two (2) years must have been served as Principal Accountant II - D3 or equivalent. Adhering to Principles and Values.
