Kalcon (Pty) Ltd is an established, locally registered company that is registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board to undertake projects in the following fields: Construction, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Roads, Bulk Earthworks, Earth Dams, Bridges, Airports, Infrastructure, General Civil Engineering Projects, Buildings and Entertainment Complexes. Interested candidates are invited to apply for the position of: Key Responsibilities Operational Expertise: Understanding of construction processes and operations for achievement of high levels of production and cost-effective operations. Financial Acumen: Ability to prepare and own annual budgets, as well as drives the Construction Projects achievement of cost-effective production. Strategic Planning: Development of business growth through identification of new opportunities and threats, definition of company's mission and values as well as alignment of teams and resources towards common objectives Develops challenging Commercial targets and business plan setting out strategies which will drive performance improvements as well as deliver organisations long term goal Project Management: Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, budget, quality Risk Management: Owns the Health and Safety Policy for Construction and puts processes and systems in place to monitor compliance as well as share best practices Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are crucial. Ability to build solid relationships with clients, partners critical through understanding their needs an expectation is also essential. Ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned with the company goals. Leadership: Lead and manage senior management team. Liaise with the Head of HR for talent acquisition and development as well as foster a positive company culture Requirements Higher National Diploma - Civil Engineering or equivalent Relevant professional and or regulatory bodies e.g. Engineers Registration Board Good understanding of FIDIC Suite of Contracts and Contractual Management Minimum of 15 years in construction, with senior management experience Proven track record in leading and managing large national / international multi - disciplinary projects, mainly in construction of major civil engineering works and contract mining as well as teams encompassing commercial and pre - construction functions with a reputable civil engineering contractor Comprehensive knowledge of current construction trends, regulations and best practises in Botswana Results Driven: Focused on driving team to meet targets Integrity: Strong ethics and transparency Adaptable: Adjusting to changing projects needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong team leadership skills and ability to delegate Knowledgeable with regards to production rates Must have excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Internet, CCS, MS, MS Word) How to Apply Application with complete detailed CVs and Relevant documents to be forwar
