KPMG is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager (CENTRAL SERVICES). The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial and management accounting, as well as reporting processes. The role provides strategic financial guidance to partners and managers across offices, functions, and business units, including cross-border operations, to support business objectives. It also involves proactively identifying and resolving challenges, while effectively managing stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities Provision of sound financial information and comprehensive reporting for assigned offices, functions and business units in KPMG Botswana to support their business decision making processes. Ensuring compliance with local legislation, KPMG global policies and KPMG Botswana policies and processes. Preparation of and/or provision of information to Tax Consultant to prepare the Firm's and Partners' income tax returns. Compilation of annual financial statements. Project accounting - ensure that efficient practice management processes are maintained within the assigned offices, functions and business units. Lockup - proactively develop and maintain systems and processes which enhance lockup reporting in the allocated offices, functions and business units. Budgets and forecasts - apply the identified and agreed guidelines and objectives in the application of budgeting and planning processes in the allocated offices, functions and business units. Manage assigned staff members. Other ad hoc requirements. Requirements Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across varying levels within the business. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to manage and motivate direct reports to achieve set objectives. Strong organisational skills with a proactive, innovative, and practical approach to problem-solving. Sound judgement and decision-making ability. High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Capable of balancing business and finance priorities, in an open, transparent, and professional manner. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce or related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, BICA or equivalent. Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage. Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. BICA or equivalent). Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a finance function. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Strong experience in managing end-to-end accounting processes including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and statutory compliance. Experience in a professional services firm will be an added advantage. How
