Key Responsibilities Drives heavy duty vehicles exceeding 3500 kg maximum weight (for non-articulated vehicles) up to >16000 kg maximum weight including trailer. Drives all non-articulated buses above 3500 kg. Supervises one or more vehicle attendants. Act as driver-in-charge when more than one vehicle, but less than five are assigned to specific duty. Drives council vehicles on official trips. Performs routine vehicle maintenance, which includes removal and fitment of tyres, washing of vehicles, checking fuel, oil and water level as well as ensuring that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure. Ensure the validity of registration and insurance discs. Report to transport Officer any mechanical fault or damage to the vehicle. Undertake any other related duties as directed or assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Minimum of PSLE (Standard 7) A valid Heavy Duty Driver's licence (Class C) of at least two (2) years PRDP-Goods Experience: Direct entry Working with people Adhering to principles and values Following instructions & procedures Delivering results and meeting customer expectations Coping with pressures and setbacks Applicants should quote the circular number and provide: Full names, address and date of birth.
