BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST (PERMANENT & PENSIONABLE) – Pulamed (Pula Medical Aid Fund)

Established in 1991 as Pula Medical Aid Fund (Pulamed or the Fund) is a not-for-profit open medical aid fund, registered as a Trust and regulated by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA). Pulamed is seeking for a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong BI development background to enable us to gather, organise and utilise data to its best potential. By supplementing the Fund to make informed decisions, the Business Intelligence Analyst will develop and leverage BI capabilities to develop strategies that go together with the Fund's vision.

Pulamed seeks a highly intuitive individual who can develop BI solutions, effortlessly interpret data, with the skills to perform data-driven decision-making. Being a detailed planner, and a maestro at communication, the BI Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring effective organisational success. Key Responsibilities Deep dive into the current business methods and provide insights to improve the same. Improve operational excellence by uncovering opportunities for cost efficiency, risk mitigation and business growth using BI data analytics. Use data mining, and predictive analysis among other BI and data analytics methods to improve the overall performance of the company Identify trends and patterns that will change the course of the business when implemented Be the operational owner of Fund's IT environment Data Analyst and Reporting Data Governance Data Mining Support and troubleshooting Quality, Safety & Environment Management Continuous Improvement KPI Monitoring Data Visualisation IT Systems oversight Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years experience. Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist. Fairly knowledgeable in IT Systems. Strong knowledge of BI tools and software such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc. Expertise in database management and data modelling, with a strong command of SQL. Experience with ETL tools and processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms. Strong implementation experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
