KT Rwanda Networks Ltd Incorporated in September 2013, KTRN is the 4G LTE Infrastructure Company in Rwanda jointly established by Government of Rwanda(GoR) and Korea Telecom (KT) in a Public Private Partnership, with the main mission to achieve GoR’s connectivity and coverage goals for broadband network and service. Since its commercial launch in November 2014, KTRN has made commendable milestones both in network rollout as well as 4G service penetration. Currently, KTRN boasts of the largest 4G Network coverage in Rwanda with more than 98% of the national population coverage. Besides 4G Services, the company operates the biggest fiber network spanning over 4000 km of fiber around the country covering all districts and borders of Rwanda and it is leased to all operators for their business operations & expansion. KTRN’s network is the only network in Rwanda providing technology convergence, facilitating value creation to Businesses. The company is engaged in the business of providing & installing 4G LTE advanced technology within Rwanda. In order to effectively accomplish its business objectives, KTRN Ltd is looking for a qualified and competent candidate to fill the vacant position below: Position: Senior SDM Engineer Summary: Senior SDM Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, integration, and operation of telecom systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in databases, APIs, scripting, and telecom network architecture, with hands-on involvement in policy control systems such as PCRF within SDM environments Roles & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support applications within telecom environments Analyze, write, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting Develop and maintain scripts (Shell, Python) to automate operational tasks Integrate and troubleshoot REST/SOAP APIs across systems Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability Support and maintain Unix/Linux-based systems and applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement enhancements Analyze telecom network interactions across key subsystems (HLR, HSS, EIR, PCRF) Design and implement PCRF policies based on Oracle PCRF Provide documentation and technical support for deployed solutions Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , Electronics and Telecommunication. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in application support, system integration, or telecom environments Strong knowledge of DBMS and advanced SQL querying Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python) Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems Good knowledge of IP networking fundamentals Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs Application p
