Bank of Africa Rwanda seek to recruit well qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position within Head Office: Position Title: IT Engineer — Digital Platforms (2 positions)
- Job Purpose The IT Engineer — Digital Platforms is responsible for the design, development, integration and maintenance of the Bank's digital channels and services, including USSD solutions, Mobile Banking, customer portals and API interfaces. The role holder ensures the availability, security and continuous improvement of digital platforms in alignment with the Bank's digital strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Key Responsibilities: I.Digital Development & Integration Design, develop and maintain digital banking platforms (USSD, Mobile Banking, Web Banking, APIs) Develop and deploy USSD services in coordination with telecom operators Ensure seamless integration of front-end platforms with the Core Banking System (CBS) via secure APIs Build and maintain middleware connectors (EDWH, ESB) for data exchange between systems Implement mobile payment solutions, money transfers and value-added services Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and flow specifications II. USSD & Alternative Channels Manage the full lifecycle of USSD menus and sessions (*Code#) Coordinate with telecom operators for integration, accreditation and user acceptance testing Optimize user journeys on USSD and SMS Banking channels Ensure availability and performance of USSD services in production Set up automated alerts and notifications via SMS and push channels Monitor session success rates and troubleshoot USSD gateway issues III. Security & Compliance Implement strong authentication mechanisms (OTP, PIN, biometrics) Ensure platform compliance with security standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 2
