Sentiment & Data Lead (Equity Partner / Part-time)
Description
Connecting Audience Emotion with AI-Driven Storytelling
Trailr.ai is a Copenhagen-based startup rethinking how film and TV trailers are created and tested. We bring real audience reactions directly into the creative process, using AI to help editors, creatives, and producers make better decisions—earlier.
With backing from Innovationsfonden (Innofounder & Innobooster) and AWS, we are a growing team of six equity holders across creative, AI, and backend disciplines. Major broadcasters, including DR, are already testing our platform.
We are now looking for a Sentiment & Data Strategist to join us as an equity partner in a flexible, part-time role.
This role is for someone who is curious about how people feel when they watch content—and who enjoys turning those feelings into insights that creatives and machines can actually use.
The Mission
Your mission is to help us build Trailr.ai’s Human Validation layer.
In practice, this means deg thoughtful, sometimes experimental ways of capturing audience reactions to trailers and clips—and translating those signals into clear guidance for our creative teams and AI systems.
This is not about abstract dashboards. It’s about making audience emotion visible, actionable, and creatively useful.
What You’ll Do
Design the feedback experience
Create smart, human-centred ways of gathering audience reactions—such as surveys, micro-feedback flows, or second-by-second sentiment capture—without overcomplicating things.
Build and grow access to audiences
Help us establish and manage our own respondent pools. This may involve community outreach, social platforms, partnerships, or lightweight campaigns to reach the right viewers at the right time.
Translate insight into action
Work closely with our AI and backend developers to ensure audience data can inform models, tools, and creative decisions. You don’t need to code—but you should enjoy collaborating with people who do.
Explore new signals (when useful)
Experiment—carefully and responsibly—with additional sources of insight such as facial coding, eye-tracking, or social listening, where they genuinely add value.
Shape our thinking
Help define how audience insight should influence storytelling, editing choices, and predictive scoring inside the platform.
Who You Are
A translator by nature
You may come from data science, psychology, audience research, UX research, behavioural science, or a related field—but you’re equally interested in storytelling, film, and creative decision-making.
Comfortable experimenting
You’re happy to test ideas, try tools, and learn by doing—without needing everything to be perfectly defined upfront.
Structured but imaginative
You can organise messy inputs and turn them into insights, while still appreciating nuance and ambiguity in human responses.
Tech-aware, not code-heavy
You understand the basics of data flows, APIs, or analytics pipelines, but you don’t need to be a developer.
Why Join Trailr.ai?
Real ownership
You join as an equity partner (up to ~5%) in a pre-revenue company, with genuine influence over product direction.
Creative relevance
Your work will directly shape how trailers are edited, tested, and released—and which moments make it on screen.
Flexible setup
A part-time, remote role (typically ~1–2 days per week), with a clear path to a full-time salaried position as we scale.
A thoughtful team
You’ll work alongside experienced creatives and engineers who value audience insight, not vanity metrics.
If this sounds like a role where your curiosity and perspective could genuinely shape the product, we’d love to hear from you.
