Energy Data Integration Manager

Description

At Ento, we help organisations monitor and optimise energy consumption across large building portfolios. By combining millions of data points with artificial intelligence, we translate complex energy data into actionable insights that make it easier to reduce energy use, meet regulatory requirements, and document real savings and impact.

Backed by strong investors such as byFounders, The Footprint Firm, Voyager and Aura Ventures, Ento is on a strong growth trajectory and expanding into new markets. Today, we work with organisations across Europe, including municipalities, retail chains, social housing providers, and asset and property managers. More than one third of all Danish municipalities use Ento, alongside large retail and real estate portfolios in Italy and the UK, as well as some of Europe’s largest cities. In total, over 50,000 buildings run on Ento, helping customers cut more than 15,000 tons of CO₂.

Our team consists of 11 experienced people across 4 countries, with offices in Denmark (Aarhus and Copenhagen). We work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work with the flexibility to collaborate from the office when it makes sense. This way of working relies on trust rather than strict rules and gives people a high degree of autonomy. In return, we expect ownership, accountability, and intrinsic motivation.

The Role

We are looking for an Energy Data Integration Manager to help our customers realise their first energy savings as quickly as possible by turning energy data into live, reliable integrations on the Ento platform.

The core of the role is owning energy data integrations as a first priority of customer success. You will lead data access and integration work from initial discussions to live integrations, working closely with customers, utilities, energy advisors, data partners, and our sales and data science team. This is a strongly people-facing role, with most of your time spent coordinating across internal and external stakeholders, keeping integrations moving, and removing blockers. While you are not expected to own the full customer relationship or onboarding end-to-end, you will be the primary contact for utilities and data partners and fully responsible for the success of the integration projects.

Alongside coordination, you should be comfortable working hands-on with energy data when needed. This includes reviewing, cleaning, and restructuring building lists, meter IDs, and consumption data to ensure integrations work as expected. You are not expected to be a data scientist or data engineer, but curiosity and a genuine interest in energy data is essential. Over time, you will build a strong understanding of how energy data is collected and integrated across different markets.

This role suits someone who cares about energy optimisation in practice, takes ownership, and is comfortable navigating complexity across utilities, large organisations, and internal teams. You will be leading integrations across Denmark and international markets, and therefore fluency in both Danish and English is required.

Responsibilities

Project execution and coordination

  • Own energy data access and integration projects from first contact to stable live setup
  • Coordinate with utilities, district heating providers, customers, and integration partners to secure energy data access
  • Ensure correct setup of buildings, meters, and data mappings
  • Identify and resolve data delivery issues to ensure reliable and timely integrations

Data and integration work

  • Review, clean, and validate building lists, energy meter data, and related datasets
  • Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot inconsistencies
  • Improve processes and automations to increase efficiency and scalability

Commercial and scaling support

  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities and data providers
  • Support customer expansions and new market entry where data access is a dependency
  • Collaborate with the product team to improve the data onboarding experience
  • Deliver training to customers and internal teams on data integration processes

What we are looking for

  • You have hands-on experience working with energy data, utilities, energy advisors, or energy optimisation, ideally from the private sector, public-sector or infrastructure-heavy environment
  • Experience in roles such as project manager, energy advisor, technical customer success, implementation specialist, data integration, or similar
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working across customers, utilities, and internal teams
  • A strong sense of ownership and the grit to get integrations live despite messy data and unclear processes
  • Comfortable working with Excel and large datasets (meter data, building lists, IDs, formats)
  • Experience with APIs, SFTP, SQL, Python, or similar tools is a plus, but not required
  • Fluency in Danish and English is required (other Nordic languages are a plus)
