1 hour of pleasant interaction with the residents
Description
1 hour of cozy time with the residents of Stefanshjemmet.
If you would like to make Stefanshjemmet's residents happy as a volunteer at some of our activity afternoons, such as when we hold the "Lykkehulet". Here you could, for example, sit at one of the tables with a few residents and help them keep track of vowels and consonants, or otherwise enjoy a coffee at the table, then we would love to hear from you.
Or for afternoons with community singing, where someone comes and plays the piano. Here you can help to have fun by passing out song sheets, singing along, etc. There are also days with various lectures, where you can also enjoy coffee and other things.
In everyday speech, we call the afternoon events “the global offer.” Here, residents who feel like it come from our 4 housing units down to the activity rooms, where various events, lectures, films, musical performances and much more are held.
Right now, for example, there will be Lykkehul once a month, and the same with Banko, but if it is a success it may well be a little more. Right now it is on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM

A little history about the Wheel of Fortune at Stefanshjemmet:
In collaboration with the caretaker, residents and users of Stefanshjemmet's activity department made the wheel of fortune from scratch, and in addition to the fun along the way, the residents now enjoy playing the game together in our activity rooms. See the photos from there in the post.
Specifically, the tasks as a volunteer for these events are to help place the pieces at the bank, and to help with consonants/vowels and points at the Wheel of Fortune. This can be both at the wheel, but also outside at the tables with the residents.
Whether you can do it once a week, every 14 days or once a month is not the most important thing. The important thing is that you find it rewarding both ways, and that you find it enjoyable and meaningful to be a part of.
Our Global offer is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM
- 5:00 PM.
If you are unable to attend on Wednesday, we are also looking for volunteers for the other days of the Global offer. Here, the practical work will also be to support the residents with various things depending on what is currently on the program that day.
