Danske Bank is seeking a Generative AI Engineer (Full-Stack Developer) with a keen interest in Generative AI to join our dynamic and innovative Generative AI Integration squad within the Risk and Compliance Tribe.

Our squad operates across borders, and you will be working alongside other Generative AI engineers and Business Analysts. As it has not been established for long, you will have a unique opportunity to shape our culture and ways of working within the squad, leaving your mark on our innovative endeavors.

Your contributions will transform how we work in Risk and Compliance by enabling smarter, faster, and more efficient processes. Through these efforts, you will empower our colleagues and turn cutting-edge technology into real business impact.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, integrate, and operate AI solutions used by our business users.
- Architect optimal ways to integrate GenAI into various existing and new products.
- Choose appropriate technical frameworks and optimization techniques for generative AI approaches, e.g., RAG.
- Work with prompt engineering, pre & post model invocation processing.
You will also optimize model usage cost, while you interpret and visualize model outputs for internal stakeholders, explaining complex AI concepts in simple terms. You will stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, supporting the adoption of relevant innovations
- while you also maintain high code quality and contribute to best practices in our AI development process.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with experience working with AI in Python: frameworks for LLM use like Langchain, Haystack 2.0, or Hugging Face. You have an extensive understanding of building enterprise solutions, primarily in Python
that you know how to integrate well into existing applications, services and enterprise architecture and then you also bring:
Degree in computer science, AI, machine learning or a related field
Professional experience delivering AI/ML solutions in Python
Strong understanding of NLP, LLMs and transformer architectures, including practical experience deg and implementing RAG solutions using frameworks such as LangChain, Haystack 2.0 or Hugging Face
Experience with React (TypeScript) Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and design patterns
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with AWS and/or Azure
Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Azure AI Search or similar
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with.NET/C#
Location and eligibility
- Based in Copenhagen
- Requires a valid Danish work permit
