What you'll be doing As a Senior Tools Programmer at Coody, you'll help empower game teams by building and improving the tools they use every day. You'll work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to streamline workflows, remove bottlenecks, and raise the overall quality and efficiency of development.

Assignments are typically 6-24 months, and as a consultant you're expected to ramp up quickly and deliver value from day one. You'll take ownership of tools and pipelines, ensuring they are robust, user-friendly, and tailored to the needs of production.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain tools and editor features used across the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and pipelines
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that increase productivity and quality
  • Work closely with engine and gameplay teams when tools require deeper integration
  • Debug, optimize, and support tools in an active production environment

Who you are We are seeking a Senior Tools Programmer who is passionate about improving how games are made. You enjoy working close to users, understanding their needs, and turning that into intuitive and efficient tools.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in the video games industry in a technical role
  • Strong experience with C# and/or C++
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Lua, or JavaScript
  • Proven experience building tools that improve workflows and user experience
  • Familiarity with game engines and editor concepts
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • High standards for quality, usability, and maintainability
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have

  • Experience with WPF
  • Experience with Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF)
  • Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya, Modo, or Blender
