Solution Architect

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect who will be responsible for the architecture of POS solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and advancing the architecture toward the target state.

In addition to the above, your role will involve:

  • Strategic Direction & Lifecycle Analysis: Contextualize the strategic vision and future direction; conduct analysis to identify opportunities and constraints and support strategic activities across the full solution lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Coaching: Bridge business-technology understanding, advising stakeholders on options, risks, costs vs. benefits, impact, and priorities; facilitate best-practice sharing and coach teams in architectural thinking.
  • Architecture Definition, Documentation & Alignment: Translate business needs and technical requirements into architectural blueprints; analyse, design, develop, and communicate solution roadmaps and transition architectures; ensure designs align with enterprise strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Holistic Enterprise Perspective & Non-Functional Compliance: Identify interdependencies and apply holistic thinking across teams and initiatives; incorporate product economics (costs/revenue), data & sovereignty, business continuity and information security; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Continuous Improvement & Technical Debt Reduction: Evaluate and drive improvements to reduce technical debt and enhance end-to-end business value.
  • Operational Ownership & Root-Cause Resolution: Own current solutions and flows, ensuring secure, stable operations; proactively resolve recurring problems to root cause.
  • Technology Evaluation & Selection: Participate in internal/external technology assessments to ensure technology choices align with overall architecture, standards, and business strategy.

You'll step into a fast-paced, high-impact team redefining our global POS platform for 4,000+ stores across 60+ markets. You'll collaborate daily with delivery, testing, and service professionals, while navigating tough vendor landscapes and partnering with cross-functional tech and business teams. This is a space where smart architecture decisions ripple across the globe-and you'll be right at the center of it.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with...

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a Solution Architecture capacity in building complex solutions
  • Experience in working with all components of a holistic enterprise architecture (business, process, information, technology)
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
  • Solid understanding of modern development practices, technologies and software architecture including patterns and principles
  • Proven experience from documenting and communicating architecture and experience in tools like Jira, confluence etc.
  • Proven experience in deg solutions using patterns, following best practices etc. to comply with non-functional requirements
  • Experience working with POS is a merit.
  • Ability to create both high-level and low-level design documentation and technical specification

  • Collaborative and willing to share knowledge with the team to foster a supportive learning environment.
