About the Assignment
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift to join a highly skilled team in a consultant capacity. You will become a key contributor to a mission-critical container platform, supporting continuous improvements, operational excellence and architectural best practices in a DevOps/SRE-oriented environment.
The role is hands-on from day one and focuses on keeping the OpenShift platform stable, secure and scalable while enabling efficient onboarding and knowledge transfer within the team.
Job DescriptionDeploy, configure, operate and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) environments
Perform day-2 operations such as cluster administration, upgrades and disaster recovery activities
Provide architectural guidance, best practices and continuous improvement proposals for the platform
Manage authentication integrations such as LDAP/SSO and work with OpenShift Operators
Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and platform-level issues across clusters and workloads
Collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE and platform teams to ensure stability and scalability
Contribute to onboarding and rapid knowledge transfer in the team
Requirements7+ years of experience in senior-level Linux, DevOps or SRE roles
At least 4 years of hands-on focus on Kubernetes and OpenShift
Expert-level Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) experience, including architecture, IPI/UPI installations, upgrades and disaster recovery
Strong experience with day-2 operations, cluster administration and node administration
Strong Kubernetes expertise, including core components (etcd, API server, scheduler, controller manager) and advanced troubleshooting
Experience with CRDs, dynamic admission controllers, and scheduling strategies/patterns
Advanced Infrastructure as Code and automation skills with Ansible and Terraform
Deep understanding of container runtimes (CRI-O, Docker) and image registries (Quay, Artifactory)
Strong knowledge of container networking (CNI), ingress/egress routing, and service mesh technologies
Experience implementing and operating observability stacks at scale, including Prometheus, Grafana and EFK/ELK
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP), including networking and IAM
Strong knowledge of container and Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, Pod Security Standards, Network Policies, vulnerability scanning)
Proficiency in Bash and/or Python for automation and scripting
Nice to haveExperience with OpenShift Virtualization
Experience with OpenShift GitOps (Argo CD)
Experience with OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton)
