Godot Technical Artist
Description
We are seeking a skilled Godot Technical Artist to join our game development team. This role bridges the gap between art and programming, focusing on creating efficient, high-quality visual assets using the Godot Engine. You will work closely with artists and developers to implement artistic vision while optimizing performance and maintaining technical feasibility within a game development pipeline.
Develop and maintain shaders, materials, and visual effects within the Godot Engine.
Collaborate with artists and developers to optimize assets for performance and visual quality.
Create tools and scripts to automate and streamline art workflows.
Ensure seamless integration of art assets into the Godot game environment.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to graphics and asset implementation.
Assist in setting up and maintaining the art pipeline and asset versioning systems.
Provide technical support and training for the art team Godot-related tools and processes.
Proven experience in technical art within game development, preferably using Godot Engine.
Strong understanding of 2D and 3D graphics pipelines.
Proficiency in shader programming (e.g., Godot Shader Language or GLSL).
Familiarity with scripting languages such as GDScript, Python, or C#.
Experience with asset optimization and performance profiling.
Understanding of animation systems and rigging within Godot.
Background in traditional art or 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
