Job Overview: We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for our client's service-based team, including hourly staff, commission-based providers, and employees receiving tips. This role is crucial to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for hourly staff, commission earners, and tip-based employees on a regular schedule (biweekly)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Maintain accurate employee and payroll records
- Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, deductions, and tip reporting
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of US payroll processing experience
- Experience with Booker and Gusto platforms is an advantage
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, including handling tips and commission-based pay
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
