Role Overview
The Lead Product Manager, Mobile Platform Experience leads the technical operations and delivery of ’s fan-facing platforms across Mobile platforms. This leader is responsible for driving system-driven, scalable, and reliable product delivery that accelerates time-to-market, enhances platform stability, and enables continuous innovation across all device ecosystems.
The role will oversee cross-functional planning and execution across App Experience, Platform Services, Engineering, Design, QA, Program Management, and Release Operations, ensuring platform readiness and delivery excellence across Mobile platforms.
This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role that requires strong technical acumen, delivery discipline, and the ability to harmonize product, design, and engineering strategies into cohesive, system-led releases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Platform Oversight
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for ’s mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with a team of Platform Product Managers responsible for mobile-specific execution (i.e., iOS & Android).
- Partner with key stakeholders to define system-driven solutions that enable scalable content, personalization, and performance improvements.
- Serve as the primary key point of contact for mobile platform delivery excellence ensuring stability, feature parity, and release management.
2. Planning & Prioritization (Program Increment Alignment)
- Participate in quarterly PI Planning for mobile platforms in collaboration with App Experience, Platform Services, PMO, and Engineering.
- Define cross-platform dependencies, sequencing, and feasibility to ensure predictable delivery of velocity.
- Translate business priorities into system-level requirements across backend services, APIs, and SDKs.
- Drive stack ranking and trade-off decisions to balance innovation, performance, and technical debt reduction.
3. System & Technical Readiness
- Ensure all features are system-aligned leveraging CMS, and other backend services where possible.
- Partner with Platform Services to validate entitlement, metadata, playback, and personalization of API readiness.
- Conduct impact assessments across SDK upgrades, device performance, and store compliance (Apple, Google).
- Oversee gap analysis for missing services, data pipelines, or SDK updates.
4. Cross-Functional Program Leadership
- Drive coordination between Product, PMO, Engineering, QA, and Release Ops to maintain synchronized delivery cadences.
- Oversee Jira dashboards, PI dependency trackers, and readiness matrices for leadership visibility.
- Partner with QA and Release Ops on regression coverage, certification, and store submissions.
- Present platform roadmaps, risks, and post-launch learnings to Product and Program leadership.
5. Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor platform health metrics (crash rates, ANRs, startup time, memory utilization).
Translate operational insights into PI prioritization and roadmap decisions.
Establish KPIs around time-to-market, delivery predictability, feature parity, and stability.
Champion automation, systemization, and reusability to eliminate redundant manual processes.

- Analytical Rigor: Uses data and metrics to guide prioritization and assess platform health.
- People Leadership: Coaches and develops PM talent with a focus on technical depth and operational acumen.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7 years in Product Management or Platform Product Management with 2+ years in a leadership role overseeing mobile, web, or multi-device ecosystems.
- Industry: Experience in sports, media, or consumer digital products is strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
- Deep understanding of iOS/Android SDKs, APIs, and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with CMS frameworks and Platform (backend) services
- Strong knowledge of QA workflows, store submission processes, and analytics instrumentation.
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Figma, or equivalent systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
