Contract Geologist Jr.
Description
The Contract Geologist Jr. role is a temporary position (up to 1 year contract) with a fly-in/fly-out role on a 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada. The position involves conducting detailed core logging and sampling, collecting and analyzing geological information, and working collaboratively to maintain a highly organized core shack environment.
Requirements
- Two years' experience in field mapping, performing geotechnical and core logging activities, and sampling.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Geological, Geotechnical, or other related discipline.
- Prior experience working in a remote camp setting is considered an asset.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labour.
- HIMS Certification and/or Level 1 First Aid is considered an asset.
