Assistant General Counsel, Artificial Intelligence and Privacy

Lumen is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to lead the provision of legal advice and counsel on AI Governance. The role involves providing counsel on security and requirements for Lumen as a Processor of customer data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring AI legal and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and an active license in good standing to practice law issued by any State Bar within the United States
• 10+ years of legal experience with a focus on and cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience building and operationalizing AI governance principles, controls, and documentation
• Detail oriented, with the ability to produce work product that demonstrates advanced skills in subject matter expertise, analysis and creativity, oral and written communications and advocacy, and client management and acceptance
