Mainframe System Analyst (m/f/d) P&C Retail Know-How in Brussels

For our client in Brussels, we are immediately seeking a Mainframe System Analyst (m/f/d) with P&C Retail expertise for an expected duration of 3 months with the option to extend. The project requires a minimum of 2 days per week on-site in Brussels. Fluency in French and English is essential. Dutch would be a plus, but is not required. Your responsibilities: The Mainframe System Analyst will work with business stakeholders to translate business needs into IT requirements for small and medium-sized requests. The role involves understanding the IT application landscape to accurately describe requirements, including frontend and backend integrations. The analyst will prepare and execute test activities to validate deliverables and collaborate within an Agile team (Business Product Owner, business analysts, architects, backend developers). Your qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance business analysis (P&C retail). Minimum 5 years of experience in a mainframe environment (IMS, COBOL, DB2). Strong affinity for application architecture and an understanding of how components are interconnected. A structured mindset with a focus on delivering precise and accurate analyses. Communication within the team is primarily in French (with business stakeholders, PO, internal colleagues) and in English with offshore providers.
