Backstage Developer (m/f/d) React, NodeJS & Azure DevOps - remote/Berlin

We are currently seeking a Backstage Developer (m/f/d) with experience in React, NodeJS & Azure DevOps for our client. The position is expected to run until February 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role is planned as a part-time position with approximately 70% workload and will primarily be performed remotely. Responsibilities: - Providing services for the setup, customization, and maintenance of the Backstage-based developer portal and its plugins to offer secure and standardized services as well as automated onboarding functions for the group's developers - Developing technical concepts for extensions and customizations of the customer's existing Backstage platform - Comprehensive analysis of the product and Backstage architecture - Design, development, testing, and documentation of customized Backstage plugins (frontend and backend) - Implementation of customizations and extensions to the Backstage platform - Extension and configuration of the Backstage backend for additional services and integrations - Creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation Must have: - At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in the design, customization, extension, and maintenance of Backstage or comparable developer portals (e.g., based on service catalogs, developer platforms, or IDP solutions) - Proven experience in the development and customization of Backstage plugins (frontend and backend) - At least 4 years of experience Experience in developing backend services with NodeJS, ideally in the context of platform or integration solutions - At least 3 years of experience developing frontend applications with React - At least 1 year of experience in deg and implementing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps - Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes, especially in operating and deploying platform services - Experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), especially in the context of cloud-native applications and platform services
