Scala developer (m/f/d) Protobuf, AWS & CI/CD - remote

We are currently seeking a Scala Developer (m/f/d) with experience in Protobuf, AWS & CI/CD for our client, with an expected duration until December 2026 and the option to extend. This is a full-time, fully remote position. Please note: Only applications that meet all must-have requirements will be considered. Responsibilities: - Writing clean, efficient, and fully documented code using appropriate software development practices and standards - Developing software applications that meet the client's requirements - Participating in the planning, design, and implementation of software projects - Testing and debugging software applications to ensure they meet specified quality standards - Consulting with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects according to client specifications - Participating in relevant technical meetings and providing regular updates to project managers and other project members - Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to other developers Must-haves: - At least 5 years of programming experience with Scala - At least 3 years of experience with Protobuf, AWS & CI/CD 5 years of experience with the Protobuf framework - At least 5 years of experience deploying complex services on a Kubernetes cluster in AWS - At least 5 years of experience with CI/CD toolsets such as Git/GitLab, Chef/Puppet. Nice to have: - At least 5 years of experience in software development, especially with functional programming - At least 3 years of experience with real-time planning and control systems for rail traffic in Germany or Europe - Certification in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and the Loop approach.
