Job description / Role Job Type Full Time Job Location Dubai, UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Engineering - Civil & Construction Company Industry Construction We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Infrastructure Estimator (Civil) with proven experience in the UAE to support the estimation and tendering of major civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in estimating works related to bridges, roads, utilities, and associated infrastructure, contributing to accurate bid submissions and overall commercial success. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects including bridges, roads, drainage, utilities, and associated works. • Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to determine project scope and costing requirements. • Perform quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract works. • Utilize CCS Candy (mandatory) or similar estimating software for pricing, cost planning, and bid preparation. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of estimates. • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and validate pricing. • Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures during the estimation stage. • Maintain and update a cost database including historical data, unit rates, and productivity benchmarks specific to UAE projects. • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical clarifications with clients and consultants. • Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions, ensuring compliance with tender requirements. • Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and UAE construction practices to ensure competitive bidding. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in estimation of civil infrastructure projects (mandatory). • Proven experience in projects involving: • Utilities (drainage, sewerage, water supply, etc.) • Strong proficiency in CCS Candy (essential requirement). • Excellent understanding of UAE construction methods, specifications, and standards (RTA/DM/DEWA preferred). • Advanced skills in quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and rate build-ups. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
