We are most well-known for developing the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and we launched the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. We have grown quite a bit over the last few years, but we still embrace the same values that we started with. We want to build the best first person co-op games together, in an approachable, fun and passion-driven way. We are seeking another talented and creative VFX Artist to join our newest game team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality visual effects that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and the overall visual experience. Working in a field where art, design, gameplay, and sound come together, your feedback and teamwork skills will be crucial in your daily work. What you'll do Create real-time visual effects and materials in Unreal Engine 5 Bring life and excitement to the game through your design and implementation of compelling, realistic visual effects Coordinate with Art, Sound, Level & Game Design to ensure VFX match the quality bar and vision for the game Design, take ownership and maintain interdisciplinary VFX systems, such as material hit effects and more Help to improve technical pipelines and VFX creation techniques/tools Optimize VFX to maintain performance without sacrificing quality Required qualifications Demonstrated skills in real-time visual effects within Unreal Engine 5, including complex behaviors using Niagara and Blueprints A keen graphical eye with a sense for details and timing Ability to parameterize particle systems with game design and flexibility in mind Strong understanding of particle system performance, including handling overdraw, emitter count, and material complexity Demonstrated skill in Houdini, Embergen, Substance Designer, Blender or similar software Experience with simulation of destruction and/or liquids in Houdini or Blender Team player with strong communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and multitask XXXX XXXX Development of cooperative and first-person games A background in gaming Passion for video games Shipped at least 1 AAA or equivalent game Comfortable writing shaders in GLSL/HLSL or other shader languages What we offer A playful, friendly and inclusive workplace Opportunities for personal growth with varied projects, experienced co-workers and recurring hack weeks/days Regulated flex time and paid overtime Occupational pension Health benefits and health check ups Bonus program Relocation package for international talent Parties, social events and team-building activities Dog-friendly office located in central Stockholm Application details We have a policy of working 4 days in the office per week, with 1 day optional to work from home.
