JOB SUMMARY On behalf of our client, a leading bakery plant in Thika, we are seeking a Slicing & Bagging Supervisor. The ideal candidate will coordinate the final stages of the production line, overseeing a specialized team to ensure every loaf is sliced, bagged, and counted with precision.Your primary focus will be maintaining accurate pack weights, ensuring clean product presentation, and managing stock control to facilitate seamless dispatch operations.QualificationsDiploma in Food Science, Production Management, Baking Technology, Industrial Plant Operations or MathematicsMinimum 3–4 years’ experience in slicing/bagging, bakery or FMCG production lines — preferably bakery experience.Strong numeracy and stock-counting skills; comfortable with simple arithmetic and record-keeping.Ability to work shifts and stand for long periods.Skills & competenciesAttention to detail, accuracy in counting and recording.Team leadership and clear communication.Basic computer literacy (Excel/Google Sheets helpful).Knowledge of food safety / GMP desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise slicing & bagging line operations; allocate and coach operators.Ensure accurate counting, weighing and packing for dispatch; reconcile daily dispatch sheets.Monitor product quality (pack weight, seals, labelling), remove non-conforming product.Maintain stock records for finished goods (FIFO), report variances and support stocktakes.Coordinate with Dispatch/Logistics to meet delivery schedules.Implement housekeeping, food safety and PPE use on the line.Train team on counting procedures, line speed changes and emergency shutdown.Prepare daily production & dispatch reports for Plant Supervisor.
