ABOUT THE COMPANY Kenya Tea Development Agency Limited was incorporated on 15th June 2000 as a private company under (CAP 486) of the laws of Kenya, becoming one of the largest private tea management agencies. The Agency currently manages 67 factories in the small-scale tea sub-sector in Kenya. JOB SUMMARY Qualifications/Skills/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.CCNA/CCNP/MCSE or related professional certificationMinimum four (4) years of experience in a similar set up.Technical knowledge of hardware and network installation.Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practiceMust demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teamsMust demonstrate the ability to multitask.Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectivenessShould have the ability to solve problems by applying relevant business knowledgeShould demonstrate professional expertise in the relevant work areaMust have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communicationMust be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals RESPONSIBILITIES Working with users to analyze workflow, access, information, and security requirements as well as deg system infrastructureInstalling and configuring servers and application software on all workstationsPlanning and executing the selecting, installing, configuring, and testing of PC and server hardware, LAN and WAN networks, and operating systemsMaintaining and monitoring system performance by troubleshooting system hardware, and networks and documenting system problems and resolutions for future reference and providing comprehensive reports on system performanceBacking up and restoring files and critical data by performing/verifying daily backup for recoverabilityManaging databases and ensuring smooth data replication between factory and KTDA head officeInstalling, configuring, supporting, and maintaining electronic weighing solutions (EWS)Performing and/or overseeing new software and application testing, implementation, and review in the factorySupporting the deg and implementing of IT policies and proceduresDocumenting technical configuration of installed systemsTesting, evaluating, and installing system enhancements by scouting for new technological innovations within the factory’s core business areasWorking with the ICT Services in conducting training for the factory staff programs by providing references and supporting system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applicationsDeveloping system access, monitoring control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and proceduresManaging and administering system user accounts and passwordsIdentifying system upgrades by conferring with ICTB, vendors, and service providersEnsuring timely preparation and distribution of ICT reports as and when they fall dueProvidi
