ABOUT THE COMPANY Maseno University founded in 1991, is the only university on the globe that lies along the Equator (00). It is one of the seven public universities in Kenya. The University is located in Maseno Township along Kisumu-Busia road, 25 km from Kisumu City and approximately 400 km west of Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. The University also shares its boundaries with Vihiga and Kisumu County. JOB SUMMARY  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Professional certification such as CEH, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable; At least Three (3) years of relevant experience in IT security; and Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, risk assessment, and incident response RESPONSIBILITIES  Protect the eCampus digital infrastructure and online learning systems against cyber threats;  Implement security protocols, firewalls, and data encryption mechanisms;  Conduct regular system audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments;  Respond to and resolve security breaches in a timely manner;  Train staff and students on cyber security best practices; and  Ensure compliance with University and national ICT security policies REQUIRED SKILLS IT equipment installation and configuration, Cisco certified network associate (CCNA), System and network security, IT support REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree
