Data Engineer (Talend/Oracle) - SC Cleared | Public Sector We are recruiting for a Data Engineer to join a major data programme within the public sector, focused on building and enhancing modern data platforms. This role is suited to someone with strong ETL development experience and a solid background working with Talend and Oracle databases. Role Overview You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, contributing to data platform improvements, and supporting testing and deployment activities across the development life cycle. Key Responsibilities Develop data solutions including Talend jobs, Oracle DDL, and SQL Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) Build and maintain data integration views Investigate and resolve defects identified during testing Review code and test artefacts produced by colleagues Support production releases and post-deployment activities Conduct component testing, including test data creation Support QA and performance testing phases Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance Required Skills and Experience Strong experience with ETL tools, particularly Talend Experience working with Oracle RDS databases Strong SQL and data development skills Experience working in Agile environments Active SC Clearance (essential) Desirable Skills Experience with data virtualisation tools such as Denodo Location and Contract Details Location: Mostly remote (Telford - 2 days onsite monthly with occasional travel) Duration: 6 months Rate: Up to £400-£460/day inside IR35 If this matches your skill set, apply today!
