Contract Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Duration: 6 months+

Role: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer Location: London, Manchester or Bristol (Hybrid) Length: Initial 6-month contract Rate: £650-£700 per day (Inside IR35) Clearance: Active SC clearance is preferred, or candidates must be SC-eligible We're supporting a major UK Government department that's looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and run critical digital services. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical ownership, mentoring others, and improving the resilience and security of live systems. Key experience Strong Back End development in two or more languages (Python, Node.js/JavaScript, Ruby) End-to-end full stack experience including modern Front End frameworks and accessibility standards Experience building cloud-hosted services (AWS, serverless/FaaS) Containerisation and microservices using Docker and Kubernetes Solid understanding of authentication, authorisation, and web security best practices Modern engineering practices: TDD, automated testing, CI/CD, GitHub, IaC (Terraform) Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments, both independently and collaboratively Desirable Experience with.NET/ASP.NET Core Exposure to Azure or GCP
