Description

Document Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and organized flow of information and documentation within a construction project. Their responsibilities encompass the following: Focus of the role• Document Management: Creating, maintaining, and organizing project documents. This includes drawings, specifications, contracts, reports, permits, and correspondence.• Version Control: Manage document revisions and ensure that current versions are readily accessible to project stakeholders.• Document Distribution: Facilitate the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, EPCM, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure that the right people have access to the necessary documents.• Filing and Archiving: Establish and maintain a systematic filing and archiving system, ensuring documents are stored securely and can be retrieved when needed for reference or audits.• Quality Assurance: Verify documents adhere to project standards and requirements. Assist in document reviews to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.• Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure the project complies with regulatory and contractual document management requirements. This includes tracking and documenting all project-related correspondence and approvals.• Document Retrieval: Retrieving specific documents when requested by project team members, auditors, or external parties• Communication: Act as a bridge between different project stakeholders, conveying information and updates related to document status and availability.• Training and Support: Provide training and support to EPCM, contractors and team members on document management processes and systems Profile:• Degree in civil engineering or comparable degree program• Experience in Document management (e.g., Omega, ACC)• Experience and certification as project manager (e.g., PMI) beneficial• Experience in large scale, fast paced construction projects• Proactive, with the ability to identify potential issues before they arise• Openness to new topics and challenges in technically complex situations ‘agile mindset’• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills• Business fluent in English Conditions:• Language: English• Start: asap; duration at least 6 months with option of extension• Scope: 5 man-days per week• Location: up to 50% home office, 50% in Stockholm or Boden
